Weekday wardrobe #2

Coat - River Island // Jumper - Mint Velvet // Jeans - Topshop // Shoes - Steve Madden
Coat, skirt & boots - Zara // Jumper - New Look
Coat & Trousers - Zara // Shirt - ASOS // Trainers - Office

As I mentioned in my last post here I took Tuesday off so I only had a 3 day week (can I get a woop woop!) Although I am so busy at work I might have to participate in the cardinal sin of doing some work this weekend.. yuck :( I did stick to my rules of wearing something other than jeans for 2 days a week so go me!

Happy April guys! With the new month I think i'm going to do a spring clean this weekend and also use this awesome technique I found here and start tagging 'maybe' clothes in my wardrobe so I don't forget about them.

the duster coat

I'm back again in my fabulous Zara coat! I love love LOVE the length and have been searching for ages for a black and a camel version but to no avail - any tips on where to find some nice ones?? Guess I shouldn't be thinking about buying more coats considering it's now March. How is the weather still so cold?? I was actually freezing taking these photos and I only had a tiny bit of ankle out. I am not made for the cold..

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and Mother's Day! No meal out for me today on account of the fact my mum lives 200 miles away, but I have spent a whole afternoon on guitar hero so you know.. swings and roundabouts.

suede jacket + suede shoes =

So my love affair with suede is still going strong, and after treating myself to this jacket in Mango as mentioned in this post I found some boots that match the colour almost exactly! Blame my mum but i'm a sucker for some colour coordination. The only problem with all this suede is I have to check the weather forecast all the time because if theres even a 10% chance of rain i'm not risking it.. #suedeprobs anyone?

lace up flats

So the rain is well and truly upon us! It is so miserable outside I feel like it's winter! Don't get me wrong through, I am getting really excited about updating my wardrobe for fall. How amazing are the shops lately? Feel like i've been starved of goodness because the shops have been in summer sales for about 2 months. Anyway, one of my basic go-to looks today. Who can go wrong with an oversized shirt and jacket, jazzed up with some beaut shoes.

Striped maxi

I wasn't originally going to shoot this look but I got so many compliments on this dress in work that I thought hey, why not! There's not really much to it, I got it in an outlet mall in Vegas. I love that it has the tie around the waist to make it more flattering. How annoying has the weather been as well? One minute it's sunny and the next it's pouring down. Good old British summer.

culottes + mules

This outfit consists of 3 things i'm loving at the moment; duster coats, culottes and mules. How amazing are these shoes? I saw them on the lovely Brittany's blog Thrifts and Threads and completely fell in love. They weren't on the UK site yet though so cue me refreshing every night until they came in stock! (I'm really sad like that with shoes, or obsessed?). Also I definitely need more floor length coats, this one is so thin though I really can only wear it when the weather's good, which in the UK is very unpredictable..

the dungarees

Guys I can't even tell you HOW long i've been looking for a (black) pair of dungarees! I've never had a long pair and i've been looking for a few years, but all of the high st style's i've tried on never seem to fit right. Either they're too long on the body or don't fit around the hips, I've realised a good pair is pretty tricky to find. I saw these on ASOS for £65 and thought fuck it, I need to up my price range if i'm going to get a pair that fits. Thank god! They're unbelievably comfy and I can't wait to style these into so many different looks!

blue jeans

Sorry for the radio silence, I had an interview and then went home for Easter so it's been pretty crazy! These photos were shot the other week before I went into London, I literally tried on 4 different pairs of boots before settling on these ones, the marl in this coat is tricky to style! Anyway who is loving the weather in the UK this week? Glorious!
Hope everyone had a lovely easter xx

The suede skirt

So to be honest you can't even tell in these photos that i'm wearing a suede skirt, but still.. when I first saw the seventies trend coming through I was like "noo way am I buying into that trend". Low and behold, i've been completely suckered in! I've had this skirt in my wardrobe for a few years now and have never worn it, it's literal vintage c/o my mum's wardrobe from the 70s. It's a bit longer than i'd like but hey I can't complain, and I did end up buying this little H&M number last week to keep me going!

the vintage shirt

So a super basic outfit, but sometimes after a long week it's the only option.. My wardrobe is becoming out of control with the amount of oversized check shirts I have, I got this one at Urban Outfitters in New York for about $5! Bargain isn't even the word. Haven't worn these creepers in forever either, but they cost me a small fortune at the time so I felt the need to dust them off.
