transitional dressing

Kimono - here // Top - here // Jeans - here // Bag - here // Sandals - here

Who else is officially over this crap weather we have been having? We've had snippets of Spring here and there but as soon as I think about packing away my coats 'Storm Katie' turns up *insert rolling eye emoji here*. Anyway, a gal can dream right? I've put together a wish list of what I would love to wear ASAP, get a little shoulder out.. get a little bit of toe out.. it's the perfect transitional dressing! I might need to treat myself to these sandals because I am dying for a mid heel studded black sandal. I guess the Isabel Marant sandal from years ago is still not going away? I am contemplating treating myself to these when they come back into stock but I don't know if I can handle dropping that much money on a sandal.. who do I think I am?

Hope you all had a lovely Easter! I booked today off work too so I've had a dreamy lazy day before the work officially starts again.

the shearling jacket

So i've finally got the chance to wear this awesome shearling jacket after what feels like an age. I got it in the January sales when I visited my parents in Spain but I couldn't fit it in my suitcase home.. so I had a long 6 week wait until they brought it back for me and I could whip it out.

Anyway, happy hump day! I'm heading to Copenhagen this weekend for a little city break and I couldn't be more excited! I've been so busy at work that I feel like I've never needed a holiday more (even if it's only 3 days..)

Weekday wardrobe #1

Jumper - Primark // Shirt - Mango // Jeans - River Island // Shoes - Zara // Socks - ASOS

So I thought I'd try a new series on here showing you guys what I wear to work everyday. I can wear whatever I want to work which means I sometimes end up wearing some of my favourite outfits to work and dressing pretty lazy on the weekends were I'm out and walking more (sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day is a great opportunity to wear those shoes that kill to walk in). Since I work really long hours I don't have the time to go location scouting and do a cool shoot on weeknights, so I thought this would be an easier way to show you my looks that are often lost and never shot.

Don't get me wrong, I do often get stuck in a rut with my work clothes too (jumper, skinnies and boots anyone?) so I'm hoping this will help me to be a little more adventurous. Since I have loads of clothes I don't wear I've decided my new rule (along with the #1 rule to wear a different pair of shoes everyday) is to have at least 2 days a week were I don't wear my beloved jeans. You can see how well I stick to that!

Anyway - let me know what you think of the post and if you guys are interested in seeing more like this? Bring on Easter when the clocks go forward and I can take all the photos on my balcony (the lighting in my lounge is awful - soz about that)

suede jacket + suede shoes =

So my love affair with suede is still going strong, and after treating myself to this jacket in Mango as mentioned in this post I found some boots that match the colour almost exactly! Blame my mum but i'm a sucker for some colour coordination. The only problem with all this suede is I have to check the weather forecast all the time because if theres even a 10% chance of rain i'm not risking it.. #suedeprobs anyone?

the denim culottes

As you guys may or may not know i'm sliiightly obsessed with culottes.. With the big denim trend this year i was dying to get my hands on some denim ones, after buying and taking back quite a few pairs because the fit was just NOT right (Forever 21, Zara i'm looking at you). I finally scored these in the Topshop sale for £7. Yes, £7!!! Bargain of the year. Too bad I had to wait until summer was over for them and now i'm too much of a baby to wear bear legs.. Fingers crossed I still like culottes by next year!

the long black dress

I admit that this dress sort of looks like an oversized bin bag, but I think it kinda works? This was my first Monki piece and definitely made me fall in the love with their minimalist vibe. Also how good are these Dr Martin dupe sandals from Bershka? Deffo didn't want to be shelling out £££ for some ugly sandals (i admit) i probably won't wear much, but these do the trick nicely!

the little black dress

So I'm back! I know I mentioned in my last post here that I was going away on holiday and wouldn't be able to post, but I took a lot longer than expected to get back into the swing of things blogging wise! I do have loads of photos waiting to post, but it's just finding the time! September is one of the busiest months in work so far and I've also been travelling at weekends to see friends. Anyway, sorry for the quality of these photos there was a smudge on the camera lens (rookie mistake) and I don't have a proper photographer who notices basic things like this..

the suede jacket

How freakin incredible is this jacket? I mean, it's literally the jacket of dreams! I recently splurged on this in Mango, it was in the sale but was still like £80. Eek! With the warmer weather we've had this summer I realised I didn't have any light coloured jackets, then I saw this beauty and I just couldn't resist. Also I FINALLY got myself a pair of white velcro trainers!! (If anyone read this post here you'll know i've been after them for a while). My boyfriend thinks I look like a child in them but hey, I think they're awesome.

blue jeans

Sorry for the radio silence, I had an interview and then went home for Easter so it's been pretty crazy! These photos were shot the other week before I went into London, I literally tried on 4 different pairs of boots before settling on these ones, the marl in this coat is tricky to style! Anyway who is loving the weather in the UK this week? Glorious!
Hope everyone had a lovely easter xx

The denim dress

So denim has been everywhere lately - mostly thanks to Alexa Chung and her amaaazing range for AG jeans (see here). The sun was out last weekend so I decided to whip out my trusty old Topshop denim dress. There's not much to it really but I love how it looks with my black boots and biker jacket. In summer i'm thinking I can rock it with some cute embellished sandals to switch it up. Excuse the midday sun in these photos, not ideal but hey I was off to London!

distressed

I've been super busy lately so I've not had much time to take outfit photos, plus it gets dark pretty early now and since I can't take them in the day time this makes it tricky (sorry about the quality). This is a super casual outfit made up of some new items my parents/nan bought for me (such babes). I also got these vans the other week.. I've loved them for so long but wasn't sure if i'd get my wear out of them. Then I saw them online for sale and ofcourse couldn't resist. Anyone else a sucker for a sale?
