transitional dressing

Kimono - here // Top - here // Jeans - here // Bag - here // Sandals - here

Who else is officially over this crap weather we have been having? We've had snippets of Spring here and there but as soon as I think about packing away my coats 'Storm Katie' turns up *insert rolling eye emoji here*. Anyway, a gal can dream right? I've put together a wish list of what I would love to wear ASAP, get a little shoulder out.. get a little bit of toe out.. it's the perfect transitional dressing! I might need to treat myself to these sandals because I am dying for a mid heel studded black sandal. I guess the Isabel Marant sandal from years ago is still not going away? I am contemplating treating myself to these when they come back into stock but I don't know if I can handle dropping that much money on a sandal.. who do I think I am?

Hope you all had a lovely Easter! I booked today off work too so I've had a dreamy lazy day before the work officially starts again.

the shearling jacket

So i've finally got the chance to wear this awesome shearling jacket after what feels like an age. I got it in the January sales when I visited my parents in Spain but I couldn't fit it in my suitcase home.. so I had a long 6 week wait until they brought it back for me and I could whip it out.

Anyway, happy hump day! I'm heading to Copenhagen this weekend for a little city break and I couldn't be more excited! I've been so busy at work that I feel like I've never needed a holiday more (even if it's only 3 days..)

Weekday wardrobe #1

Jumper - Primark // Shirt - Mango // Jeans - River Island // Shoes - Zara // Socks - ASOS

So I thought I'd try a new series on here showing you guys what I wear to work everyday. I can wear whatever I want to work which means I sometimes end up wearing some of my favourite outfits to work and dressing pretty lazy on the weekends were I'm out and walking more (sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day is a great opportunity to wear those shoes that kill to walk in). Since I work really long hours I don't have the time to go location scouting and do a cool shoot on weeknights, so I thought this would be an easier way to show you my looks that are often lost and never shot.

Don't get me wrong, I do often get stuck in a rut with my work clothes too (jumper, skinnies and boots anyone?) so I'm hoping this will help me to be a little more adventurous. Since I have loads of clothes I don't wear I've decided my new rule (along with the #1 rule to wear a different pair of shoes everyday) is to have at least 2 days a week were I don't wear my beloved jeans. You can see how well I stick to that!

Anyway - let me know what you think of the post and if you guys are interested in seeing more like this? Bring on Easter when the clocks go forward and I can take all the photos on my balcony (the lighting in my lounge is awful - soz about that)

the duster coat

I'm back again in my fabulous Zara coat! I love love LOVE the length and have been searching for ages for a black and a camel version but to no avail - any tips on where to find some nice ones?? Guess I shouldn't be thinking about buying more coats considering it's now March. How is the weather still so cold?? I was actually freezing taking these photos and I only had a tiny bit of ankle out. I am not made for the cold..

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and Mother's Day! No meal out for me today on account of the fact my mum lives 200 miles away, but I have spent a whole afternoon on guitar hero so you know.. swings and roundabouts.
