the denim culottes

As you guys may or may not know i'm sliiightly obsessed with culottes.. With the big denim trend this year i was dying to get my hands on some denim ones, after buying and taking back quite a few pairs because the fit was just NOT right (Forever 21, Zara i'm looking at you). I finally scored these in the Topshop sale for £7. Yes, £7!!! Bargain of the year. Too bad I had to wait until summer was over for them and now i'm too much of a baby to wear bear legs.. Fingers crossed I still like culottes by next year!

the floor length shirt

Happy Sunday guys! Quite a simple outfit today, I like the twist on this check shirt being almost floor length with no sleeves. I'll have to have a proper think about how to style it some other ways though as I don't think it's the easiest fit with the rest of my wardrobe. These photos were taken a few weeks ago but I'm still behind on posting, how is it October already??!

the long black dress

I admit that this dress sort of looks like an oversized bin bag, but I think it kinda works? This was my first Monki piece and definitely made me fall in the love with their minimalist vibe. Also how good are these Dr Martin dupe sandals from Bershka? Deffo didn't want to be shelling out £££ for some ugly sandals (i admit) i probably won't wear much, but these do the trick nicely!

the little black dress

So I'm back! I know I mentioned in my last post here that I was going away on holiday and wouldn't be able to post, but I took a lot longer than expected to get back into the swing of things blogging wise! I do have loads of photos waiting to post, but it's just finding the time! September is one of the busiest months in work so far and I've also been travelling at weekends to see friends. Anyway, sorry for the quality of these photos there was a smudge on the camera lens (rookie mistake) and I don't have a proper photographer who notices basic things like this..

the denim short

I think i've gone a bit crazy for ringer tees lately, they're just so versatile! All I seem to have worn this summer is denim skirts, denim dungarees and denim shorts so these tee's fit perfectly with that vibe. Sorry for the super summery post (and my pasty legs), this constant changing weather means I'm switching from summer to winter clothes on a daily basis which isn't great for the blog continuity.

In other news, I'm off to Mykonos with my girls on Wednesday (yay!!). I was hoping to organise some scheduled posts for you since I'll be away but I've not had time, so apologies for the lack of posts on the blog for the next 2 weeks.

lace up flats

So the rain is well and truly upon us! It is so miserable outside I feel like it's winter! Don't get me wrong through, I am getting really excited about updating my wardrobe for fall. How amazing are the shops lately? Feel like i've been starved of goodness because the shops have been in summer sales for about 2 months. Anyway, one of my basic go-to looks today. Who can go wrong with an oversized shirt and jacket, jazzed up with some beaut shoes.

the suede jacket

How freakin incredible is this jacket? I mean, it's literally the jacket of dreams! I recently splurged on this in Mango, it was in the sale but was still like £80. Eek! With the warmer weather we've had this summer I realised I didn't have any light coloured jackets, then I saw this beauty and I just couldn't resist. Also I FINALLY got myself a pair of white velcro trainers!! (If anyone read this post here you'll know i've been after them for a while). My boyfriend thinks I look like a child in them but hey, I think they're awesome.

Denim button down

Do you ever see something in a store and you're like "omg I didn't know i needed you but now i can't live without you". Well this t-shirt was like that for me. Am I being overly dramatic about a t-shirt? Probably yes, but these 70s style tee's have been all i've worn this summer, and it was on sale! Score. I love these shoes also but word of advice.. pretty painful to walk in (there's no flex in the sole at all).
Anyway i'm off to watch some Netflix, have a lovely week everyone!

White blouse and blue jeans

How amazing are these jeans? I feel like i've been looking for them my whole life without realising it. Patchwork, ripped and frayed hems? Amazing. Oh, and they were a bargain at £15.99 (they're now £9.99, damn! Find them here) Sorry for the quality in these photos but the rain has decided to grace England with it's presence again, so a very quick shoot it was indeed!

suede button down

So I sort of went all out for buttoned a line mini skirts and bought about 4 in the space of 2 weeks (this 70s/denim trend has really got me) but then i've actually hardly worn them.. I have the awful habit of buying clothes, placing them neatly in my wardrobe and then forgetting about them for weeks. Anyone else do that? It's pretty bad.. must be the thrill of purchasing I love! (not great for the bank).
Anyway, since the weather is fab I thought now is the time to get my wear out of them (since tights are the devil)
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
