the kimono

Happy Sunday guys! I am just back from a whirlwind trip to Belgium and Germany with work, so i've had quite a quiet weekend catching up on sleep/housework and other boring things. In other exciting news my boyfriend and I booked a trip to Oslo in December!! Super excited (although it's going to be freezing). If anyone has been or has any tips please hit me up :)

the floor length shirt

Happy Sunday guys! Quite a simple outfit today, I like the twist on this check shirt being almost floor length with no sleeves. I'll have to have a proper think about how to style it some other ways though as I don't think it's the easiest fit with the rest of my wardrobe. These photos were taken a few weeks ago but I'm still behind on posting, how is it October already??!

the dress over jeans

Happy Sunday! Excuse the majorly pissed off face in the first photo.. not sure what that was about. This look is quite different from what I usually wear but I thought i'd push the boat out and go a little outside my comfort zone. I got it quite late in summer but next year i can't wait to frolic on the beach with it layered over a bikini.

lace up flats

So the rain is well and truly upon us! It is so miserable outside I feel like it's winter! Don't get me wrong through, I am getting really excited about updating my wardrobe for fall. How amazing are the shops lately? Feel like i've been starved of goodness because the shops have been in summer sales for about 2 months. Anyway, one of my basic go-to looks today. Who can go wrong with an oversized shirt and jacket, jazzed up with some beaut shoes.

the dungarees

Guys I can't even tell you HOW long i've been looking for a (black) pair of dungarees! I've never had a long pair and i've been looking for a few years, but all of the high st style's i've tried on never seem to fit right. Either they're too long on the body or don't fit around the hips, I've realised a good pair is pretty tricky to find. I saw these on ASOS for £65 and thought fuck it, I need to up my price range if i'm going to get a pair that fits. Thank god! They're unbelievably comfy and I can't wait to style these into so many different looks!

The suede skirt

So to be honest you can't even tell in these photos that i'm wearing a suede skirt, but still.. when I first saw the seventies trend coming through I was like "noo way am I buying into that trend". Low and behold, i've been completely suckered in! I've had this skirt in my wardrobe for a few years now and have never worn it, it's literal vintage c/o my mum's wardrobe from the 70s. It's a bit longer than i'd like but hey I can't complain, and I did end up buying this little H&M number last week to keep me going!

The denim dress

So denim has been everywhere lately - mostly thanks to Alexa Chung and her amaaazing range for AG jeans (see here). The sun was out last weekend so I decided to whip out my trusty old Topshop denim dress. There's not much to it really but I love how it looks with my black boots and biker jacket. In summer i'm thinking I can rock it with some cute embellished sandals to switch it up. Excuse the midday sun in these photos, not ideal but hey I was off to London!

Dream joggers

These trousers are literally the dream! I felt like I was wearing pyjamas all day (which is what everyone wants right?) and coupled with my stan smiths this is one of the comfiest outfits ever. These were shot the other day when the weather was beaautiful. Spring has officially arrived!

on the move

The clocks turned back this weekend meaning it's pretty much pitch black at 5pm now. So not great for taking outfit photos! I was debating whether to buy this jacket when I bought this one, so when I saw it in the sale I was so happy. I wore this to diner yesterday with the boy, we were celebrating since I've got a job as a trainee buyer! I'm so excited but I need to relocate down South so there's tonnes to plan..

secret garden

I spent the weekend in Reading with my boyfriend since I had an interview down there. I bought these boots from Primark while I was there, they're so similar to these Zara ones I've been eyeing up but more in my price range. Hoping to start taking more outfit photos now I have some more time, and I've got a few new items to show you too..
